God Uses SCARED Prople

Do I like being scared? Do you like being scared? Of course not! No one does! Being scared is the direct result of fear and we are facing a lot of fear lately.

Ask Moses! God gave him a big assignment to lead the Children of Israel out of Egypt, to be God's spokesman, delivering God's commandments, and what did Moses say? "God, I can't do this, I can't even talk! I'm nobody! Why would you choose me? Choose Aaron, he can talk just fine! I am afraid."

And God said, "No, I want you, I like to use scared people, for then, I know they will have to depend not on their own talents, abilities, and wisdom, but on Me!"

Ask Gideon! God gave him a big assignment, to lead His people into battle, to overcome the enemy, to win for the Lord, and what did Gideon say? "God, I can't do thsi, I can't even march. I'm a farmer! Why would You choose me? I am afraid."

And God said, "I want you, I like to use scared people, for then I know that they will have to depend not on their own tallents, abilities, and wisdom, but on Me!"

Ask Mary! God gave a big assignment, to bear the Son of God, to raise Him in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, to train and teach Him in the ways of God, and what did the scared young virgin say? "Be it unto me according to Your Word." But she was still afraid.

And God said, "Fear not, Mary, I have chosen you," and she, in simple faith, surrender and trust, became the mother of our Lord.

Moses went to lead, Gideon went to march, and Mary went to bear a Child, each of them scared, and afraid, but chosen: each of them fearful, but committed to obey, in the Name of the Lord!

And that's how you  and I must serve, whatever situation He places us in, whatever He calls us to do, in the name of the Lord, for God loves to use scared people! When the assignbment is too big, when the call is too great, when our lunch is too small, our finances aren't adequate, get ready for God to use us! That's just how He works, and He will be with us.

And so, scared and fearful people that we are, Lord, use us and Crowley Family Fellowship! If Moses, Gideon, and Mary can respond, so can we, with His help, wisdom, and strength. Scared or not, we stand ready to do His Will!

Zechariah 4:6 So he daid to me, "This is word of the Lord to Zerrubabbel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the Lord Almighty."
