You Light Up My Life--or--Don't Darken My Door!?!

Consider the TV news last night of an event with a juvenile detention center here in Texas where the young detainee's wanted to play football. A Christian high school team went to play them. The Christian school's coach felt that it would be nice to show these young boys the love of Jesus. He asked some of the parents of his players to go and cheer for those young detainee boys. The lesson and love of God overflowed at that game. No matter the score both teams came out victorious. One experiencing God's love and the other the power of witness.

Love can be wonderful--or--awful--depending on which side of the fence you sit! When the Love Light comes on, it illuninates the world. The sky is a sweeter blue; the grass, a greener green; the rain, a romantic gray! "Love makes the world go round" and we do celebrate it...but when the same love's light goes out, the mood changes, and a "Don't darken my door" becomes the sign on the gate. "Love no longer welcome here; love, you've hurt and wounded me, and I'll have nothing to do with you again!"

Have you considered the Love Light the Lord offers you that will never go out?

He's the Love Light of the world, the center of our lives, single or married, and when He is the "first  love," the rest will fall into place. God's blessing in on the single person as He prepares them for their mates He's preparing for them, or, in some cases the single life He's designed for them. And love and marriage? He's blessed it too. He "instituted" the "divine institution" and while, on earth. sometimes it's more "institution" than "divine" (come on admit it, it's not always easy!), but it's worth the journey and worth working out!

Whatever your status today and the rest of the month of February, and whether you like it or not, there's MORE! Let the Lord turn His Love Light on in your life today. He wants to become the love of your heart and light it up with His love, joy, and peace. He's the ultimate Valentine of all time, the One who loves us unconditionally, unequivocable, and underneath places His everlasting arms to hold, love and cherish us all forever! Now that is REAL LOVE, the Love Light that gives life and never goes out!

John 8:12 - Jesus said "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the Light of Life."

I John 4:7-12 - "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God loves us, we also outht to love one another. No one has ever seen God: but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us."
